5 March
– 7 April

‘Take The Weight Off’, a solo exhibition by Mimi Seery, reimagines ritual and symbolism as acts of release and renewal, confronting the lingering weight of inherited trauma shaped by colonial, religious, and capitalist histories.

Through humour, ritual, and vernacular form, it proposes a collective transcendence – acknowledging the residue of history while opening space for renewal and the reconstruction of self.

Mimi Seery is a visual and community engaged artist whose practice moves across sculpture, mural, and site-responsive installations. Her work invites audience participation by using inherently sensory materials that blurs the boundary between artist and viewer allowing the work to unfold in a collective experience.

Mimi’s work has been supported by Dublin, Galway, and Westmeath County Councils, The Arts Council of Ireland, Arts and Disability Ireland and Creative Ireland. Her works have been exhibited widely, including; Irish Museum of Modern Art, Revision Festival Belfast, Galway Arts Centre and Luan Gallery.
